It's my hometown and I've always loved to go to Norris lake. I live in Michigan now but love go home and see family and Norris
I rented their 4 bedrooms houseboat for 3 couples in June. On the day we were to arrive from Michigan we were told by Corey the manager that it was not available due to them waiting for a part for it. We were given the 6 bedroom boat. After a lengthy time unloading our stuff and walking the long dock to our boat (luckily the place had carts), we put all our groceries in the fridge and thought we were ready to go, when Corey told us that boat had problems too. We had to move all our stuff, luckily with the help of their staff, over to another boat. The only cell phone that would work was Verizon and luckily one couple had their service because the ship to shore radio was not working. We finally took off with little instruction. Glad there was air conditioning that first night as it was very hot. However the next morning it was not working so we immediately called. Several hours later, late afternoon, someone came out to replace a part for it. We never had hot water the entire time there so cold showers for all. Only after I insisted on some compensation, did Corey agree to $200 off gas. I am perplexed that maintenance and check lists are not done on their houseboats. I understand things happen, but it took 3 boats, which were nice, but should not have these types of problems. The lake was beautiful and warm to swim in, we brought our kayaks too. I would go to Lake Norris again but would rent from somewhere else other than Norris Dam Marina.
Great place very relaxing
Good walking trail. Nice scenery. Usually quite. Our family enjoys visiting here for afternoon walks.
Great place to put the boat in and spend the day on the lake.
