The volunteers who work at the visitor center really need some Kudos.they know their facility, have great stories about it's history, and are fun to talk with.
Great center for Norris Dam. The information is really interesting to learn about. The staff there is really nice and eager to tell you more about it all.
They have helpful people working at this place and clean bathrooms. There are hiking trails right off the parking lot and good views of the dam. There is also a place to have a picknic. We took a hike it went along the lake it was lovely. Not a strenuous hike . You can keep walking and do a full loop of over 11 miles. From what I can tell it would be worth the time. Nice place to stop not far off the highway.
Excellent historical content and the most friendly, warm, and inviting staff. You have to go check it out. A great walk back in history about east TN and TVA.
Did a stop at the Damn and visitor center as well as a short drive through. The attendants were very nice and helpful. Being my first visit I thought it was nice and hope to go again. There are camping sites as well as cabins and picnic spots.
